Mobile App: Audit Upload Best Practices

It's important to understand how MyFieldAudits uploads audits and manages connections so you can ensure your audits are uploading correctly.

Connected to Wifi/Cellular on Mobile

  • If connection is strong, your progress is uploaded automatically when completing the audit and finalized when you tap "Submit"
  • If connection is unstable/weak, your the app will upload what progress it can while you're completing your audit, and then upload the remaining information when you tap submit.

NOTE: You MUST keep the app open until your audit finished uploading. You can check progress on the Review Audits tab of the mobile app.

OFFLINE MODE

If no connection is available, your audit will be saved locally on your device. It will upload automiatically once a connection is reestablished.

NOTE: the app must be open for upload to occur. You can check progress on the Review Audits tab. If progress does not resume, tap on the Audit record and select Retry

Connectivity Impact on Reporting

In some cases, a user successfully submits their audit but upload does not finalized due to interruptions in connectivity or the app being closed. This will cause the audit to show as "Missed" in reporting. Once the audit upload finishes, future reporting will show the audit submitted as complete.
